A great question from a walker came in regarding “walking verses running” …. my response …

BOTH running and walking are highly effective “aerobic” exercise choices!  You can get to your health goals and your weight loss goals with either mode!  And research has really targeted the amazing results when you combine BOTH as in “interval training” or “short burst training!”

Here’s a sample workout:

Start with a Warm Up Walk for 5 min. – then start these cycles – brisk walk 3 mins. / then boost it with a jog for 1 min. Continue the 3/1 intervals 5 times (20 mins.) – Do a safe Cool Down Walk for 5 min.  – that is an awesome 30 minute BIG calorie burn !!!

If you need an indoor option – My fav workouts – I do them at least twice per week are  “walk – jog” style  workouts from my Walk at Home DVD’s!  I added “Boosted
