MAY CHALLENGE! A Mile a Day all through MAY!

HAPPY …. HEALTHY …. MAY …. my friends!

THE POWER OF 1 MILE!

You will be AMAZED … I promise you! I want you to SUCCEED at short goals …. instead of failing at BIG ones! Please try my MAY Challenge … invite your friends, family members, especially those that haven’t exercised in a long time. Let’s prove to everyone that consistent short sessions of exercise can be even more rewarding than hour long sessions that we are more likely to skip or burn out from!

It’s so easy to take this challenge …. just choose a mile …. any mile …. you can do the challenge with the Walk at Home workouts. Each day in May …. do 1 Mile! Below I have suggestions for you … but always remember …. you don’t have to purchase a thing … ever … walking is FREE! You can walk outdoors, on a treadmill, around the mall, even in your living room!

Mix it up … some days …. Walk at Home …. some days … walk the neighborhood … some days … go to a park …. any way you walk ….. WALKING WORKS for your BEST health!

Here are suggestions for your MAY walking workouts!

Thursday MAY 1
Kick off the month STRONG! From the 5 Mega Miles DVD – Do Mile 2 (It’s so good – get your band and fitness gloves ready!)
The 5 Mega Mile DVD has everything you need for total body fitness … calorie burning cardio, body slimming toning, full range flexibility …. smart exercise!

Friday MAY 2
From the Walk It Off in 30 Days DVD – Do the 1st 15 minutes of the BURN 30 Segment!

Saturday MAY 3
From the Walk It Off in 30 Days DVD – You guessed it – Do the final 15 minutes of the BURN 30 Segment!

Sunday MAY 4
Walk …. and TALK …with family and / or friends for 15 minutes! It’s soul lifting, brain boosting, heart healthy …. this is the BEST Face time! WALK TIME!

Monday MAY 5 – Cinco de Mayo!!! Ok let’s do it this way … Do (3) 5 Minute walks … one in the morning, one in the afternoon and one in the evening …. make them all BRISK & Challenging!

From the 5 Mega Miles DVD – Do Mile 3!
**It’s all SPEED!

Wednesday MAY 7
From the 5 Really BIG Miles DVD – Do Mile 2 – add strength training to walking …BIG BURN!

Thursday MAY 8
From the 5 Mega Miles DVD – Do Mile 5 – Get your ABS in on the action with The AB Walk!

Friday MAY 9
From the 5 Really BIG Miles DVD – Do Mile 1 – the Really BIG group is so much FUN!

Saturday MAY 10
From the 5 Mega Miles DVD – Do Mile 4 – Intervals of Brisk Walking & Strength Training!

Sunday MAY 11 – MOM’s DAY!
Do I have to say it???? CALL MOM!!! Or better …. go for a 15 minute “I LOVE My Mom” WALK!
*** Message to all Moms …. the kids want a “healthy” MOM!

From the 5 Really BIG Miles DVD – Do Mile 3 – IT’s FAST FAST FAST walking!

Tuesday MAY 13

Wednesday MAY 14
From the 5 Really BIG Miles DVD – Do Mile 4 – Intervals of BOOSTED Walking & Strength Training ….whew … it’s sweaty …. and have you noticed the awesome music in 5 Really BIG Miles? ….la la la … put a little love in your heart …. sing every body!

Thursday MAY 15
From the oldie but GOODIE – The Big Burn DVD – DO the 1st 15 mins. – Love my friends at my Walk Studio in PA!

Friday MAY 16
From the 5 Really BIG Miles DVD – Do Mile 5 – I called it THE WILD MILE!!! (***Hug my brother … so sweet he came to walk with me … my sister in law and niece too!)

Saturday MAY 17
From the Oldie but GOODIE – The Big Burn DVD – Do the last 15 minutes of the workout.

Sunday MAY 18
15 minutes of SOUL Boosting walking …. you need people …. people! Bring someone along …. the soul is healed, lifted, refreshed with community … commune with others today … face to face!

Monday MAY 19
From the Ultimate 5 Day Walk Plan DVD – Do the Purple Mile (5th Mile) add the Arms Session
(**From the “Create Your Own Workout” option on the Menu)

Tuesday MAY 20
From the 5K with a Twist DVD – Do Mile 1! (First 15 mins. of the workout)

Wednesday MAY 21
From Ultimate 5 Day Walk Plan – Do the Yellow Mile (2nd Mile) add the Legs Session!
(***The Ultimate 5 Day Walk Plan DVD has loads of mini workouts – covers every muscle group from head to toe!)

Thursday MAY 22
From 5K with a Twist DVD – Do Mile 2! (start at 15 mins. into workout to 30 mins.)
(**LOVE the Oldie but Goodie WALKS from my Walk Studio in PA!)

Friday MAY 23
From The Ultimate 5 Day Walk Plan DVD – Do the Green Mile (4th Mile) add the Chest/Back session!
(On this DVD – The Warm Up Walk and Cool Down Walk adds approx. 10 extra minutes – if you want to skip those sections just click “fast forward” on your DVD player – you are safe to get right to the Mile!)

Saturday MAY 24
From the 5K with a Twist DVD – Do the final Mile – 3rd Mile (starts at approx. 28 mins. into workout)

Sunday MAY 25
WALK by Faith …. not by sight! And do I hear an Amen to that! We need a little more “FAITH” in our Walk! 15 mins. of walking with friends, family, pets, neighbors …. everybody!

Monday MAY 26 – MEMORIAL DAY!
From the Ultimate 5 Day Walk Plan DVD – Do the Blue Mile (Mile 1) add the ABS session!

Tuesday MAY 27
From the 4 Mile Power Walk DVD – Do Mile 1!

Thursday MAY 29
From the 4 Mile Power Walk DVD – Do Mile 2! Just say ….POWER SURGE! That’s the way to BURN!

Friday MAY 30
From the 4 Mile Power Walk DVD – Do Mile 3! More POWER SURGES!!!!

Saturday MAY 31
From the 4 Mile Power Walk DVD – Do Mile 4! A FAST Finish to this DVD!

 

A Mile a Day keeps the Doctor AWAY! Science tells us … if we WALK MORE … we have a better immune system, less anxiety, we sleep better, the body operates at high levels, …. the “invisible” ways that fitness makes life better …. and I bet the “visible” benefits aren’t too bad either!!! Abs look great, Arms look great, legs look great …. that’s what walking will do!
